Rowdy led his senior year project at the Savannah College of Art and Design where he worked alongside professors and departmental heads to create a cross-departmental student film. Living in Chicagoland area for many years, he was involved with manufacturers of decorative accessories / giftware, flavor & fragrances, Italian ice, and home medical devices. While at Home Access Health Corporation, as Director of Sales, he introduced the Home Access HIV kit to market. It was one of the first anonymous home HIV kits, and was as accurate as going to a doctor. This was revolutionary at the time making Home Access a pioneer in home testing. Jim directed sales into over 40,000 retail stores throughout the country. While head of sales for an Italian Ice manufacturer, he was instrumental in establishing a nationwide program with Taco Bell to sell Italian Ice pushup treats in all of their stores for two years. Among his most notable accomplishments is the recapitalization of GlenFed Corp., a bank holding company for Glendale Federal Loan FSB. As a senior executive on the restructuring team, Terry was critical in the successful turnaround which took the company from near seizure by the OTS, trading at $3 per share, to selling the bank to CalFed 3 years later for $37 per share. Throughout his tenure at GlenFed and the turnaround process, Terry played several pivotal roles, as demonstrated by his membership on the credit policy committee, loan committee, asset/liability committee, and management committee.
